Based out of Southeastern Massachusetts Holtie has established himself as one of the best dj's in the area. He is currently working at over 200 events a year and has been doing so for some time. He currently runs his own Disc Jockey Service www.holtieproductions.com and provides dj's for all types of events all over New England. Holtie has put on some unique events including the first ever Irish Hip Hop Show, Collie Buddz, MTV Celebrity Cruises and more. (See Press Pics for reference) He has also done college tours in New England with Student City and all over the Northeast with Rockstar energy drink. The Rockstar tour and relationship ended when the tour bus hit a bridge on the way to Hofstra University located on Long Island. (See Rockstar Tour Pics) Holtie currently works with Monster Energy Drink and StudentCity.com on events. He has done spring break 2005-2008 in South Padre Island. In 2008 he opened up for Dj Scribbles at Chaos Mondays, DJ'ed the Flo-Rida Concert and over 30 other events for StudentCity and GlobalGroove. StudentCity has all ready booked him again for 2009 for the month of March.
Besides dj'ing fulltime Holtie has been working with some of the top remixers in the industry. He has worked on remix tracks with The NY Hitmen of Crooklyn Clan and DJ JD of AV8 Records. He is also experimenting with live video feeds and video mixing. He is also part of the DJ crew Rock Da House which consists of some of the best dj's in the northeast and beyond.
DJ Holtie's has had many influences musically and works with all genres. Born in the 1970's He inherited hit moms old records and his dad's 8-track collection. Grew up during the rise of hip hop and music video's and even remembers taping live performances with his tape recorder off the tv during episodes of solid gold. After growing up listening to the music during the 80's and seeing 100's of live shows in the 90's got into dj'ing during the rise of house music in the late 90's. Bought his first set of turntables from a yard sale. From then on hasn't turned back dj'ing at any opportunity. To this day he would rather DJ then do anything else. Holtie is best known for spinning Hip Hop and Rock and has been combining other genres into his party rocker mashed up style of spinning. He continues to work on mix-tapes and remixes of these different styles.
